Arlene
Brownell, Ph.D. and Tom Bache-Wiig,
members of BCDP, have just published
a new book, Non-Adversarial
Communication: Speaking and
Listening from the Heart. They
describe their book as “…a guide for
bringing the language of mind, heart
and spirit to conflict resolution
and to personal or professional
relationships.” The book draws from
their work as mediators and trainers
as well as from their personal
experiences. Non-Adversarial
Communication (NAC) builds on the
renowned and reality-tested work of
Marshall Rosenberg.
Brownell and
Bache-Wiig are both mediators and
divorce coaches. They have spent
several years developing a workshop
program aimed at teaching the
philosophy and skills needed to
neutralize adversarial habits of
perception and communication. The book closely follows
the concepts and methods used in
their workshops.
Their book is
reviewed and available on Amazon.com,
or you can order it from your local
bookstore. (You may need to provide
the ISBN: 978-0-9771232-1-6.)
